One particular item captured my attention immediately, it is on glass, and it was worth every penny spent (even though my dear 8 yr. old son stepped on the corner and broke the glass - it's nothing a cut flower can't hide/fix).................
As you may have read before, my entryway is always clean and decorated.....to me, it immediately soothes me as I come and go from working in the garden, or in and out from walks in the prairie.........
We do, unbelievably enough, get quite a few visitors through the week, and you just never know who will pop in........and blending their slow drive, passing the gardens (short as it may be), to the inside of our home, is important indeed.........
This entryway may change daily, but with the prairie grasses in their glory right now, they are easily preserved and will be a part of my decor from now until the Christmas season.....
~be satisfied with this day, and then rejoice in your happiness~

My Dear Anne,
ReplyDeleteThere is such a timeless peacefullness to this place of yours. Something that comes with the enjoyment of the heart when we share our lives with the surrounding nature.
Beautiful!
Dear Anne Marie,
ReplyDeleteThe "Deer Lady" is gorgeous!!! How interesting that she is on glass! You have found quite a treasure, and it is perfect in your entryway. I love the entire vignette. Such a lovely welcome, not only for you and your family, but all those that are blessed to enter your home! I love the prairie grasses and flowers. It is wonderful to be able to preserve them and enjoy them in your lovely home.
Have a blessed day!

What is that cool piece that Deer Chic is sitting on????
ReplyDeleteI love your entry way - one thing wish I had. All my doors go right into a room - thus the constant trashed state of my kitchen floor. It could grow its own garden!
I would have had to have that too, Just love it. The deer makes it. I know all to well about breaking stuff, except I am the breaker, Usually in the car before I can get it home!!! Plates, China, Bowls usually my victims. Bless his heart , I know how it feels! Blessings, Janna
ReplyDeletePGirl......that piece is an antique planter that I got at a shop near my house that I would love to meet you at!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!!! Love this post, you are very creative.

Hmmm, something about her reminds me of someone...you! The skirt, the hair, the smile, even the apron of things gathered from the garden...she definitley was meant for your home!
