In our grassy knoll where we enjoyed our picnic and family togetherness, there was a fresh water spring.....ever bubbling.....
This area used to all be farm land, and the generous landowners made these timeworn steps to protect and access that spring......... now moss covered......it's simply enchanting.............

The moss-covered steps are enchanting! I wish we had a place like that near us. We do have a bayou behind our home that leads into the lake, but there are too many snakes, and we have seen alligators in the lake as well... so we only go out in our boat, which is still nice, but there is nothing like dipping your feet into a flowing stream!
