make it to the last summer garage sales?
well.........let's take a sec. and sit.......
at least, that's what I'm doing.......it won't last long, but this "new to me" leather chair my brother in law just gave us fits mighty fine in our living room......and it's beckoning me to sit.
besides, I'm pondering thoughts inside me that have never surfaced before.....
~and a special thank you for all the lovely and thoughtful comments about Ukiah Samson~

I'm doing a lot of catching up on your blog. Your autumn pictures are beautiful and reminds me of what is ahead. I love autumn! I read the story about your beautiful dog and cried. He was so gorgeous and LOOKED so gentle. And this post....yes, sometimes we do just need to sit down and "think." You always leave me inspired and thoughtful!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a peaceful place to sit... mind if I drop by?

Every day I "sit aside" time to ponder. Too many people are too frantic and their lives full of chaos that could well be depleted, if not actually done away with, should they choose. This is MY life and the only one I'll ever have in this ole body so I choose time for me, everyday. It's one of my gifts to myself and allows time to refresh, renew, recreate and spend time on things of great importance...thinking and pondering.
ReplyDeleteYour chair is lovely; make a chair date every day -smile-.
I enjoyed my visit on your blog. The scene here looks so very inviting but I don't sit well. Is it my fanatical urge to clean or my (OCFD) Obsessive Compulsive Flower Disorder? My eight grandchildren might contribute or farm life......? Enjoy your sit, sniff the leather, sip a cup of tea and soak in all the blessings God has for you today.
ReplyDeleteCome rest with Me, I shall comfort you ... this chair reminds me of the perfect place to have a precious moment with Him ... I have a special chair for my 'chats' & 'pondering'.

ReplyDeleteI too love a great chair that becons one to sit and read or just sip tea and daydream!
ReplyDeleteI love the angle of the picture.... the open doorway (cool door by the way)makes you wonder whats down the hall!
Great post!
We have been so busy I have not had time to sit! That chair looks so inviting!
Oh my sisters bridal shower turned out great! I posted pictures!
Thanks for the cold cumumber soup recipe! I amended it a bit but it was hit! I served it as a appitizer in hollowed cucumber chucks! (you can see in the pics on my blog)
Warmly,
Georgainn
Your new chair looks lovely in your cozy living room. And yes, it is wonderful to just sit, with no distraction. It truly helps to reduce stress. A little bit of daydreaming never hurts. Especially if it leads to making some dreams come true!
