Trust me, I'm not a morning person usually, but you get me at the lake house we used to rent, and suddenly, I'm up at dawn, and it's like looking at the world........
with different eyes...........
~it invigorates your soul to be alone in a canoe~
beaching the canoe, and literally soaking up all the pleasures God has given us,
inspired me to share this experience, and even though you might not be able to go to a lake,
ride in a canoe, or perhaps not even be able to sit on a beach, there are experiences out there to see God's love just shining down upon you.......
we all hunger for more in life, it's our nature......not only to feed our bodies, but our souls too.....
so let's kick off our shoes and enjoy our lives....no matter what troubles you may have.....
what do you say? are you with me?
I am trying not to waste any day......especially with this love of my life by my side......
and to think he has given me five beautiful children............of our very own!.........truly to love and to honor, cherish...........until this day forward.............
sorry about the totally cheesy picture of us - it's the only one with me actually in the photo for a change! :-)

Oh, it is sooo beautiful there! I would be up at the crack of dawn to take it all in too!!!

ReplyDeleteHello there - what wonderful pictures and inspiring thoughts! Thanks for coming to visit my blog today - your comment is most pertinent, because I actually took that photo as part of a post I never ended up writing, about English Country Gardens.
ReplyDeleteYou've probably noticed that we're an English family in the South of France, but I was looking through an old UK gardening magazine the other day and it summed up gardening styles, and I realised we had a) inherited and were b) adding to, an English Cottage Carden here in Midi Pyrenees!
love the photos and the pearls of wisdom..enjoy!!!:)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photographed and wonderfully said! Amen!
ReplyDeleteGod bless you!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful family you have.
Many blessings to you the rest of this summer,
d
That's a very good picture of you two :) I'm not much of a morning person myself, but I think I would be if it meant getting up to a beautiful view every day - like a lake or mountaintop.
ReplyDeleteOh, Are we on the same page today or what. What a day I had. Setting troubles aside in the garden...
ReplyDeleteI love being near or on the water. It just does something to my soul. For example just looking out onto Lake Michigan can bring tears to my eyes...My dream is to have a kayak or canoe of my own and a place to use it. It is so serene and amazing. One of the only places you can truly hear your own voice and God's.
That photo is anything but cheesy. You have the most wonderful posts Anne. They always bless me. Hope you had a great family day.
Anne Marie,
ReplyDeleteI love this post. I read your words very slowly. Feeding the soul is so important but we women rush about so crazily sometimes...You made me think.
Love the pic of you and your husband. You are a handsome couple and look so in love!
Have a wonderful weekend, my friend!
xoxo

There is NOTHING like daybreak on a lake to inspire a person. I miss living on water for that very reason.
