Have you ever been to someone's home that you just love? filled with vibrant colors, fun pictures of their children's art, well, I like seeing that creativity.......and hearing the stories of these objects, but there is no appeal to implement that into my home or my gardens..........
and unbeknownst to me, I have created a white garden...........

it's in a bit of shade from the river birch trees, but just dappled......
and it's one of my favorite places to walk near now......
and when the sun sits low upon the horizon, and the moon comes out, the glow is wonderfully enchanting.......

This perennial bed is filled with Hydrangea Arborescens ‘annabelle’, Gooseneck loosestrife, Juniper, Funkiaceae (hosta), Primula (evening primrose), Iris Japonica, Phlox paniculata (white), Achillea millefolium (white yarrow), a small patch of mint....
and when the sun sits low upon the horizon, and the moon comes out, the glow is wonderfully enchanting.......

~Have an absolutely wonderful day~

I have loved white gardens for many years. Yours is lovely...peaceful...simplicity itself.
ReplyDeleteI have a white garden (except for my own, small potager). Roses, daisies, phlox, japanese anemones, white lilacs, peonies, astilbes, bee balm...all white, all glowing in the moonlight. Pure, fresh, calming.
Have a blessed day!
Dear Anne Marie,
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your sweet comments regarding my blog.
Now I finally get the chance to look through yours, and I must say - ABSOLUTELY gorgeous!
I especially like your white garden, very peacefull and relaxing!
I got the coffee grinder from my stepdad and he again purchased in in Prague a very long time ago. I love old things that tell a story ...
I will definitely drop by more often!
All the best,
Cate

Your garden images are always wondeful Anne Marie and they cheer my heart during our Australian winter. Julie
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite gardens is an all white one. I had one years ago but a few yrs back started to change.
ReplyDeleteI do like to see friends houses and gardens that are completely different then mine just to open my eyes to other things.
Oh by the way...I love your hosta. Do you know the name?
Carole
WOW! That is beyond beautiful! It looks so peaceful and tranquil. I wish things grew as beautifully here. Everything just kind of shrivels up and fries in mid-summer and then, if you water faithfully and keep it alive, you get another spurt of bloom in the fall.
ReplyDeleteHello Anne-Marie
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely display of white flowers! I used to live in Kent (UK) and sometimes visited a National Trust Property called Sissinghurst. Previously owned by Vita Sackville-West. There is a beautiful white garden there, I am sure you'd like it. A white garden is a peaceful place.

Lovely blog, gorgeous photos.
ReplyDeleteI’ am in love with your beautiful white garden. The shades of white made the garden more majestic to look at, it feels like heaven.

ReplyDeleteoh my! this is so dreamy and romantic! I love the white hydrangeas and the ancient column.
ReplyDeleteI have a white garden too! I put it in to break up the pastels in front (blue, purple, pink) from the hot colors in back (orange, red, hot pink, yellow). Mine has white tulips, daffodils, bleeding heart, hostas, anemone and astilbe. It's restful, all that white, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteI do love to see lots of white in my garden too! For some reason, I am not very crazy about purple in my garden.....blue, yes. And red, yellow, & PINK!!
ReplyDeletePop over to see my new paint color in my living room.
Blessings~LillySue
