Anyone feeling cozy?...........like you want to just cuddle???........and sit outside in the evening and enjoy the sunset while sipping hot cider?
(or having amaretto cake, a scone and coffee for breakfast?*)

I totally do
I'm sure there is a more eloquent way of saying that I do, but I totally do want Autumn to wrap me up with it's organic beauty and give me that comfy feel..........nothing like it......
funny thought......
sometimes I feel like I'm making "you" gag with cuteness and hugs and love and all that stuff from me on the farm.........at na-da farm..........but truthfully; it's like that most of the time
no joke
now, it's not all the time like that - but really - with no tv or video games, laptops or black berries, or any of those things - there's time for being together - not watching movies together, but just cuddling.......playing games.......picking veggies.......grooming horses........mucking stalls (see; not all glamorous here)
this is farm life.....I mean na-da farm life.............

I truly hope you feel like we are talking with each other here, and you have come to know me and my little ole' farm.......because I feel like I've come to know some of you too :)
if we could meet, and sit down long enough, you would see that I love to talk......and work things out.......and encourage you..........and make you laugh (that's my favorite part), but most of all, I hope that we can work together to create a peaceful life together..........(are you still with me here?)
If you haven't noticed, I really don't divulge my "personal side" too often.......I kind of guard against doing that.......because truly - there is so much going on in my head, that everything I write and show you here is like me; on a whim.........nothing planned out
(I leave that sort of thing to schooling and laundry day)
peace and blessings today.......to all of you
and don't be surprised to see more recipes here...........it's that time of year for schedules :) and menu planning ;)
*this delicious cake was made by Angela, and yes, I did eat it for breakfast......she also brought the adorable flower basket with her home-grown ladies' mantle.......thank you Ang! and so sorry that picture of me is absolutlely awful with us sipping morning coffee! I just can't take a good picture!!
**and did you see the look on our faces while square dancing? we aren't quite sure if this is how your promenande!

Well, the photos were personal Anne Marie, and you are beautiful!! You have those big beautiful eyes and that cute nose...now I am making you embarassed!!
ReplyDeleteWhen I come to visit, I do feel cozy. You are able to convey that through your words and photos and no, absolutely no do you have anything cutesy going on. Sometimes I wonder about my smily faces..lol! But they are to remind people to smile.
My husband recently brought home a rum/key lime cake from a girl at work. With coffee, I nearly fainted from the pleasure!
Oh, and if I lived near Na Da Farm and I needed some love or support or someone to talk or laugh with...I would be by your side in one second.
Hoping the rest of your week is lovely & cozy!! :-) :-) :-)

thanks you for sharing your farm with us. it's a dream of mine...hubby doesn't get it. until i have one of my own i will live through yours.
Hi Anne Marie.
ReplyDeleteFunny thing, I just left a comment on someone's facebook page that said,
"Wow, I really am the last parent on earth that doesn't allow televisions in their kiddos' bedroom."
I forgot about you!
I see that I really am not alone in this decision. I was panicked by the 10 comments before me that all responded positively that they allow TVs in their preschoolers bedrooms. WOW...
Many blessings to you!
Valerie
P.S. Eli's open heart surgery was a success! If and when you have a chance, stop by for a visit and scroll down to my post, Mending a Broken Heart. BTW...one of your sweet followers from Hungary left a comment that they were praying for Eli. Thank you, Anne Marie, Thank you!
You know how to square dance? Wow.
ReplyDeleteCake for breakfast is one of my favorite indulgences. Which reminds me. I need to bake a cake!
I so feel the same way about fall! Some spiced chai tea is also great this time of year!!

I think that the begining of a new season, which ever season, is wonderful. A big change in ones lifestyle starts to occur, just because of the weather changing.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love your sepia photographs. I thought, for a moment, that they were old photographs of your relatives...they are gorgeous. Your philosophy of life is wonderful Anne Marie, and I wish more people followed it. Long may you continue your Na Da Farm life. XXXX
You have a lovely post. I was looking at your "morning on the farm" post and saw the nest with Sammy's hair entwined in it. I found a nest right outside our window with my recently departed beloved dog's hair in it. It's a keeper. Birds are one of my favorite animals.
ReplyDeleteI adore your spirit! You and I would get along really well...I would so like to have your lovely farm life....wish I lived close by to come have some of that yummy cake! xoxoxo
ReplyDeleteContinye to post as you have we all have a different style but
ReplyDeleteI think all of our ultimate goal is to converse with our readers and develope friendships with new folks. Keep up the good work.
Melinda
Cake..yummy!!! Cozy is wonderful!! I personally feel that we can't get to much "sweetness" in life. Because, let's face it there are forces at work in our world that try to suck every ounce of seetness and goodness out of our lives. Thanks for adding to the sweetness of my life. You are sooooo encouraging Anne Marie, so please keep the Na Da Farm life "sweetness" coming! :)
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Gerri
p.s. please check out my little moment of cozy.

Your life on the farm is just as it should be ....warm and cozy! Your enthusiasm for everything always comes thru. I've never seen such an ambitious person. Don't know how you do it all.
ReplyDeleteThe pictures of you are too cute and you do so take a great picture. I hate pics of myself but in my case they are BAD!
Take care,
Carole
Just found you via Modern Prairie Girl. Lovely blog!
ReplyDeletei for one completely love the photograph of you and your friend! and the square dancing one? i thought it was from the 1950s or something. what a fun photograph to have in the memory book!
ReplyDeleteanne marie thank you very much for your visit to my blog. i have no idea how you found your way there but i appreciate your farming life perspective. i often think about what i used to tell my mother when i wanted to be when i grew up. i was going to live on a a farm one day. i knew nothing of farm life then but at the time the hard work, early hours and challenges seemed as much a part of what i wanted as the other more beautiful aspects of a farm life.
thanks again for your comment on my dahlia :)
Hi there~

The cake looks yummo!

Prayers and Blessings,
Georgiann from "The Garden Gate"
Hi Anne Marie
ReplyDeleteWell it is spring here and i'm really looking forward to that and summer also. Travelling to the city for work each day makes winter a little miserable. I'm sure I would love it more if I lived on a farm.. as you do..
As a child I preferred the winter because everyone would be home early and it just felt more cozy.. so I know what you mean.. OH and the sepia photos do look aged.. quite clever..
Have a great weekend and I have put my B&W post up. Ciao xx Julie
I love connecting with other farming momma's. I love to hear what is going on on your farm. Keep it up!
ReplyDeleteJust here to say good morning, hope your day is a good one! Talk soon,Chrissy
ReplyDeleteMy favorite and most anticipated breakfast of the year is the leftover piece of pumpkin pie, with loads of whipped cream, the day after Thanksgiving. I wish I could have a bit of that amaretto cake too!
ReplyDeleteMore beautiful photos! I'm so glad to be your friend!
