oh dear Texas..........

Okay..................so........................
I want to be at Round Top in TEXAS!!
(said with absolute whiniest voice I have)...........and to get my mind off it........which is quite hard..........I sew...........

and no, I don't want to sell there.................I want to shop................
how many of these pumpkins do you think I'd have to sell?....to be able to have mula to spend?............well............maybe when I retire it'll still be there.................

can you tell Anne Marie needs a break? if you were with me the past few days making applesauce, running my son to tackle football, taking all produce in and shelling those pretty little beans while homeschooling and baking bread, and serving home-cooked meals and dealing with an almost 2 year old while wrestling with my other 4 children, well, you'd want to go to Texas too, or maybe New Zealand..............to be a sheep herder..........without electricity............and become a hermit...............you know...................alone..........................................ha! phew...........now that's just a joke folks.....there is no way I'd trade my life now for anything (except maybe some extra cash for Round Top ;)............

  1. This is precious!! I know where you'd rather be. Bit wishful thinking is okay as long as it doesn't come true...

    I love your sewing talent!!

  2. Feeling the overwhelming activity of fall here, too, Anne Marie. I'd be happy to go to a hotel for one night of not driving anyone anywhere and a quiet night's sleep!!!

I have those moments from time to time too. Fall seems to be a busy season, we do soccer and dance adn pottery and are picking and freezing and teaching and fieldtriping too.

Texas sounds fun, my father in law lives there maybe he'd put us up for a hwile:-)

  7. Heehee, you are so cute!!
You don't have to feel guilty about wanting/needing to do something not related to home and children.....you are so much more than a wife and mom!
I think we are actually better wives and moms when we can get away once in a while.

  8. It has been super busy here, too. I just froze the last of my corn and canned the last of my grape juice. I will be moving on to the applesauce soon. Its hard to fit it all in and homeschool, too, but I know that we will be thankful for it this winter.
