Felt food...how fun!!

*Calling all moms and any crafty lad or lass*

I simply cannot stand 'made in china' toys anymore, but the kids love playing with food....SO.....

I came up with a pattern for an egg. We eat eggs almost everyday...wait: we DO eat eggs everyday (hee hee)..anyhow, I really hope you enjoy making this totally simple craft for your kids.

SUPPLIES: white and yellow felt (I found some made in USA at WalMart + it was made out of recycled material...bonus!) and a little stuffing....This can be made with a machine or by hand.

Garden Glimpse Wednesday and a southern lady...

Coming around the corner towards my husband's barn, he planted this garden with all natural prairie plants, and a bit of "autumn joy" sedum. Sitting here with our wine in the evening during the summer months is just another reason why we love farm life....and the many butterflies enjoy it too.

An ode to Henry...

There are only a few of our rare breed chickens and roosters that are not named...

When we purchased them, the hatchery gave us an exotic chicken as a bonus...Henrietta...as soon as we got "her" she stood out...in personality and looks...

However, this past weekend, due to the below freezing temperatures, which she wasn't bred for, we lost the most unique chicken we have ever had at Na-Da Farm.

I will miss that bird.

Hopeful Friday...

Having a firm faith, trust yourself cheerfully to the guidance of divine Providence. A childlike confidence in the Providence of our Heavenly Father is a great support and comfort to us in all the circumstances of our lives. We do not know what will happen to us in the future; but we do know that our Father in heaven cares for us, and that not a sparrow can fall to the ground without His knowledge and consent. So whatever happens to you, say: "Whatever God does, is well done, even though I cannot understand it." Say constantly: "God's will be done!"
