a little project

Sometimes you just have to make do with what you have right? well, that's fine.....but that doesn't mean you can't 'spruce it up' a little!

So I took this ordinary hanging pendant over my kitchen sink:
and made a quick little shade for it!

it's so fresh! and it was so fun!! (I think I'm addicted to those linen roses now)

it is sewn out of white linen

I really enjoyed posting about this - do you guys want to see more of
my projects around the farm??

  5. Wow, that last picture is fantastic. Does it really look like that in the evening? Just use a really low voltage bulb, ok? I'd be affraid it migh heat up and cause a little accident.

  21. I was wondering about homeschooling. I school our 4 children, always have. Was wondering what curriculum u use and how much time you spend on it. I suppose you spend alot of time on the farm with the kids learning. Also, as my kids are getting older, (8,6,5,2) just want to pick your brain on an average day... wish i could get to where I am confident I am doing enough...

  23. I think your shade is as cute as can be! It's fun isn't it? Sprucing things up with a little simple sewing! By the way.....don't know if I've commented on it or not, but I just LOVE Elizabeth! So pretty in that yummy linen. And NOT so simple! I know I couldn't make anything close to so beautiful.
