The Patisserie

Let's start with something sweet...

The Patisserie

I took very little photographs....but I'm sure some of you ladies and gents will share right?

please do

just to the left, nestled in the corner of the barn I created a tiny bistro area with water fountain bubbling and a few tables and chairs for a cup of cafe and a cupcake or macron...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
creating the "Patisserie Couture" gown that sat on top of the glass cabinet, was THE funnest project...and actually is what started the whole idea for the Patisserie....that and being inspired by Parisienne Farmgirl
it is a vintage wedding gown (for seriously a size -2) that I altered with the most delicious cupcake pink fabric and coffee filters
i skirted a little table for our wrapping area, complete with an Italian crystal candelabra
the giddiness was totally there
and all the work we put into it totally was worth it to see the smiles on the faces of everyone when they entered under the draped ceiling and lit chandelier hanging from the rafters....and it almost brought tears to my eyes to see two women enjoying my mini lemon bundt cake in the cafe with their coffees i think the Patisserie was just as successful (if not more so) than the Elizabeth's I sold...
as more pictures emerge totally tell me so I know okay?
Have a wonderful Monday......
if you need to e-mail me, please do so (temporarily at: ndfmama@gmail.com)
  1. Okay - here is something I love about you...
    Look at the difference between our photographs..
    Yours are pastel light, airy and feminine and mine are bold, vivid and sometimes gritty. You inspire me to be more feminine... I thought I was, til I met you! Then you just made me feel like a sailor! LOL!
    Through different eyes, different lenses.
    That Patisserie really was the coolest EVER. I am still riding on that...
    Thank you so much for an incredible experience dear friend!
  2. The Patisserie was, indeed, a lovely confection in itself! I smiled at P. Farmgirl's comments, because my pics are different, too! Come see! To me, the most beautiful part of the Patisserie was the warm welcome of the proprietress, writing up orders and chatting with the customers. {Not sure even a picture would have done her justice.} Still smiling about the 36 hours I was away, despite the catching up I had to do when I got back : ) Great pics, here!
  9. Dear Anne Marie,
    WOW, It all looks amazing. You must have worked so hard....and, your homage to Dennis Severs is brilliant.
  10. I have to agree with Ange, it's so cool to see everyone's style through their photography.
    It really was a breath-taking experience. I loved it and I'm so looking forward to the Fall show. When you are recovered from all this, you'll have to email me (when you have email again) or call me and tell me the details so I can start preparing for Fall. It would be an honor to be part of the show.
    Just finished the last Morning Glory muffin (SO yummy!). Thank you!!!
    Blessings... Polly
  16. The Patisserie was an absolute joy. I am hopelessly gone on all things sweet and all things Paris so the marriage of the two was heavenly.
    My eyes positively lit up when I saw the gorgeous display - and the coffee filter beauty perched on top was hilarious and beautiful at the same time.
    You girls out-did yourselves.
