i don't follow fashion.....but this line.....well, has totally captured me........
why?
i have a love of vintage
i have that jacket - it was my mother's when she was first married in the late 60's
and the blend of faux leather (in this case) and gossamer and lace
can you guess who the designer is??

Ralph Lauren...the one and only....
don't forget Christina's wonderful giveaway at Cabbages and Roses...
they are hand-knitted socks from England made
out of organic sheep's wool!!
thank you Ralph for keeping the femininity and beauty of a woman through fashion!

I agree with this line, I would feel just wonderful in them, just need to find a place to wear them. HUGS MARY
ReplyDeleteLove it. In this case "what goes around-comes around" is a good thing! Late 60's and 70's had some really romantic fashion elements. I'm looking forward to this!

ReplyDeleteDrool. Swoon. And other terms of endearment.
ReplyDeleteHe's got to be my favorite designer. I love his linens too...flowers and romance.
Think any of those ensembles come in a size 18-20 or under $50?
Me neither.
I'm totally in love with this line! But then I am in love with anything from that era. =)
ReplyDeletethat is one man that understands what a women wants..love his clothes..
ReplyDeletethat was my guess when I got to the boy cap and the canvas bag ...
ReplyDelete..We can't beat Ralph for the best in classic romantics!...Thanks for posting this...inspiration!...would love to see your moms jacket on you!
ReplyDeleteGotta LOVE Ralph!!!!xo Rachel
ReplyDeleteI was thinking about Gunne Sax :)
ReplyDeleteRalph has it all down to s science. No guesswork with that guy.
I love this look! I don't pay attention to fashion either, but this makes me excited for what will be coming to our stores. If it's on the runway it will soon be in the malls and then eventually Target, etc.
ReplyDeleteClassic & so feminine - in a quiet, comfy sort of way... Thanks for sharing the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteHave a beautiful day!
Kathy
gorgeous. i love the halter one with the leather belt.
ReplyDeleteYes Mr. Lauren has that enduring, casual, expensive chic. His collections are always among my favorites. I'm happy to have found you!
ReplyDeleteI loved this line, too. So feminine...this line reminded me of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. Some of it had a slightly masculine feel, but much of it reminded me of Katherine Ross as Etta (I think that was her name). If you've never seen the movie....rent it. His other line from this spring had a great Bonnie and Clyde flavor. Love love love his designs!!!!
ReplyDeletewow i am blown away! your fav is mine as well. long live RL...
ReplyDeletehugs,
shelley
The way that skirt flows is just awesome. Great easy to live with clothing.

Love especially the last two dresses. wow. All those pretty items look like you, too, Anne Marie. Would love to wear them, myself.
ReplyDeleteOh, and I wanted to mention. Ralph Lauren knows how to make a woman look feminine in his clothing style (unlike some of those other guys who don't get it). He got it.
ReplyDeleteHello my dear Anne Marie,
ReplyDeleteit's been a while since I visited last time.
I love these clothes (expecially the long folky feminine skirts)..wow!
How are you? Is the belly growing faster and faster now?
With lots of love.
