however...the girl's and their horses are capturing my complete attention this morning
I'm also researching herb gardens planted on or in concrete and am very intrigued by this idea...because as you know we have the old barn foundation....
my oldest daughter took this above photo of Gilberta, and I haven't ever looked at it from this angle
I have been wanting to plant in the cracks or do something with this foundation ever since the fire, but there are so many other important things to do here, it would be frivolity to do it now...but....that would be such a good use of the heat from the concrete....so we will see....
By the way....Gilberta is laying so many eggs, I might even put a few out for sale at the barn sale! Isn't she so pretty??

the girls look in there element. makes me want to get a horse.
ReplyDeleteAw that pony is too cute, all the pics are cute with your girls :) Have a lovely week! xo Holly

Your girls, they're special!
ReplyDeleteAnd the younger one, well, I see she's so connected to Mother Earth, she loves to be on the ground, feel it and, even if she doesn't know, she takes so much energy from it.
Anne Marie...this is funny: two weeks ago I planted ranunculas next to our gate!!
Fra

ReplyDeleteYou captured some very beautiful moments. I love how they're so natural and spontaneous. and I love your daughter's dress!
ReplyDeletePlanting in the concrete cracks sounds very interesting. I'd like to hear more about that . . .
Hope you are enjoying all the beauty of spring ~
I am going to keep looking into it...and knowing me, I will just try it and see if it works....I just saw WalMart carrying locally grown lavendar and was thrilled...
Deleteand yes, I am heading outdoors today to dig up some more weeds...enjoy the day too Sarah!
I forgot to say thanks Sarah about the dress...I made it out of two wrap skirts I had...it's elastic at the top and super comfy she says :)
ReplyDeleteWhat pretty photos, the colors are so vibrant. You have three of my favorite things in your pictures...smiling faces, flowers and horses. While I was growing up, my biggest wish was to have a horse. They're such beautiful creatures. Hope you have a good day :)
ReplyDeleteGilberta is lovely and, your girls with their horses are even lovelier! Love the pretty photos! How so green and pretty it looks on your farm today. Your idea for growing herbs between the cement cracks is great.

Hi Anne Marie,
ReplyDeleteI love the photo's of the girls with their horse's, everything looks so green and yellow field flowers are delightful!
I love the red and yellow ranunclas too, they are such a soft and pretty flower.
Have a sweet day, Elizabeth
Love the pictures of your girls with their horses. The goose is a neat picture too. I bet her eggs are yummy. Using the cracks in the concrete and then the warmth from it in growing the plants is certainly an inventive thought. Interesting.

My daughters had the dress that your younger daughter is wearing. I loved that dress! But they out grew it and I gave it away to the clothes closet at our Parish. Oh how I miss my children being this age and homeschooling them. Love your goose too!
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a professional photo shoot.
ReplyDeleteYour girls are gorgeous Anne Marie!
