you can do it...

we first stand with our feet firmly planted

we master that....get good at just standing.....firm.....strong.....confident.......

we get comfortable with just standing and know others will help us when we fall

or encourage us to get back up

then

all of a sudden

we take that first step.....

it surprises even us

balancing the rest of our self to just keep moving

focused

a bit shaky, the excitement and encouragement from others helps us move

no matter where we are, there is always Someone who is helping us

even if we can't see Him, and no one else is there helping us get up

He shines His love upon each and everyone one of us and encourages us just with that light....to keep going....don't give up now....keep focused....love the steps along the way.....enjoy the scenery amongst us.....keep strong....do not for any reason give up

being there to for someone else

letting them know you understand

you've been there

we have all been there

none of us knows what it is like to exactly be that other person, but all of us know the struggles of life in our own unique ways and how we can do it

do it together through love and understanding patience and strength

our little Daniel now walks on his own

a very very emotional time for his mama....

the safety within my arms is now reaching out to him

it was him reaching out to me

i now follow him and watch him and shine my light for his path in life as he walks on his own

the rest of my living days and then thereafter

xo + blessings,

  1. I am your newest follower and I must say, your blog is my absolute favorite! Every post seems to be so inspirational and the way you express your love for your children is so familiar to my own feelings for my children, the hopes and dreams I have for them and knowing that Faith in God is all we need.....Thank you for this post Anne Marie, it did bring tears to my eyes, the first steps of babes will never get old, no matter how many children one may have =) Wishing you a lovely week! ~Ashley

  4. It is extraordinary and no less so when it your grandchild taking those first steps. In some ways even more poignant because I am so aware of how quickly those years go by and those babies of mine who I watched take their first steps become the parents. I'm not sure my sons understand why I get teary about these things. Special life moments to cherish.

  9. So tenderly said , Anne Marie ...something about the first separation when they take their first steps is so bittersweet.. We want to think we are everything to them but in reality we must let them grow and learn, holding them back would be selfish. I like to think that we've loved them and nurtured them so well they have the confidence on their own to move forward with. It is a beautiful thing as you know to see your children not cling to you and be confident to let go.
I have seen the other way with children and I'm sad for those children, the parents were insecure and the children felt it too. Always looking for their parents approval instead of feeling it within.

I love what your husband said... He wouldn't give you his approval if he wasn't happy to help you and be a part of something you enjoy..You make a great team!

Have a nice little rest... it is a lot of work juggling life, family and a sale...
    Best xoxo,
    Gail
