I love working with antique lace trims
and when I found this trim this past weekend at a local antiques shop...I couldn't wait to make something with it
The crochet around the waist, is another project I'm working on......some belts or tops.....not sure yet......

Hi Anne Marie,
ReplyDeleteI love lace too very much! the cotton scarf with the lace (is it tatted), is just beautiful I could see it as head scarf or maybe use it for a placket on a skirt or blouse. The crochet you have around the waist I could see it being sewn on a vintage sweater as a shawl or even on a jumper bib... Wow you can really go crazy just creating all kinds of fun designs with lace. I have a book on vintage lace that I love. I used my Mom's hand made lace from her wedding gown 58 years ago for my daughters wedding ring pillow...the lace was so delicate, maybe I'll post it so you can see the lace.
I hope you are feeling well, this is such a happy time for you.
Have a sweet day and big hugs, Elizabeth
