being aware of the truth
embracing the truth
the truth of why i am here
i am not here to rally for one candidate or endorse his agendas
i am not here to stick up those signs and bite my nails in anticipation
i have never been that involved in politics...
which doesn't mean i don't care
i care deeply for six little ones and the lives they will have ahead
i care for those unborn in their mother's womb who don't have a voice
i care for the ability for me to worship the way i want
being aware of my freedom couldn't be more evident than today
my hope does not come from a man
though i could go on and on...all of it is basically complaints at this point for those who were not aware of the truth, who decidedly kept themselves blinded to the truth, and who continue to deny the truth
only Jesus said He was the truth
Pontius Pilate asked the question to Jesus: “what is truth”
it turned out that Pontius was staring The Truth right in the face and didn’t even know it
i am not in the corner being attacked, but am standing up with both feet firmly on the ground
ready
i am aware of the dangers
i am aware of the battle
my hope does not come from a man, but from Him alone...
Yes.
ReplyDelete...In Christ alone, my Hope is found, He is my Light my Strength, my Song...
Amen...and AMEN!!!!
ReplyDeleteIn HIM alone!!!
Thank YOU!
I whole heartily agree Anne Marie, Our HOPE is NOT in man but IN CHRIST ALONE. We are the LIGHT in this DARK WORLD. It surrounds us like never before...we have to TRUST in him...for if we truly WALK with him our eyes are not BLIND. LORD, hear the CRY of your people...HEAL our LAND...Let us STAND with ISRAEL....for JUDGEMENT is near...YES, TRUTH....TRUTH shall set us FREE! All I want to do is PRAY for this nation and the LOST......
ReplyDeleteI AGREE. Our HOPE is in the LORD. We need to keep this message going. Do not let the light inside of us get extinguished by the consequences of someone else's bad choice. Pray without ceasing.
ReplyDeleteVery well said, Anne Marie. It is easy to feel quite depressed today, so sad for our nation's choices. One light of hope is that my heavily-democratic state did oppose a physician-assisted suicide ballot question. I have to trust in the Lord and hold onto all that is TRUTH.
ReplyDeleteThank you for reminding us,
Susan

ReplyDeleteRead this and blogland and it helped me to fall asleep last night...
ReplyDelete"Whatever the outcome of this election...it is God's will. While our desire might be for a different commander-in-chief, if it is God's will for Obama to serve a 2nd term, it will be. For God's plan is always great than our own. We don't understand HIS ways, but we do have faith." AMEN!
Today, I am keeping these beautiful words from Mother Teresa in mind...
"If we do not have peace, it is because we have forgot that we belong to each other." And, "Spread love everywhere you go. Let no one ever come to you without leavng happier." MOTHER TERESA
I hope that as people visit my blog, or I visit theirs, that I always leave them a bit happier.
Blessings sweet friend!

I am so thankful to live where a woman like you can speak truth and live graciously. We are a nation of shallow, flighty and vain fools especially the women. They are a mockery of a godly, Christian woman. God bless you and your precious family and God help the USA
ReplyDeleteI am a catholic and stand right beside you and everything you say. My heart aches for the unborn and I do not waiver for religious freedom. I am however afraid. I know God said not to be afraid so I am looking for courage.
ReplyDeleteI am so thankful that God is our king and he alone. He will give us the courage to stand tall for Him. I am not afraid. Thank you Anne. I love having a cup of tea here and having a few minutes of peace.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with you. The truth will set us free. A very inspiring words that will open all our minds eand eyes. Thank you.

Well said! I spent yesterday in total disbelief at what our nation has done, AGAIN! But then I realized that God already knew how it would play you Tuesday and He is in control. I have to trust Him. But I am also preparing for the worst with bigger gardens, more canning, more goats, etc. God gave us the ability to trust Him, but also to not play the fool and think it won't happen to us. It is happening now!
ReplyDeleteYour post and the comments above are helping me cope. I have spent the last two days feeling numb and devastated. My husband reminded me that God runs the world. For whatever reason the Lord allowed this to happen. The Lord's Word to us was that He would take care of us. It is comforting to know that we are not alone. I am grateful to all of you who commented because this means that we are not alone on this path. - Briana from Texas
ReplyDeletemay God continue to bless us with the rememberance of His sacrifice He gave for us...
ReplyDeleteyou are all so amazing...thank you all for commenting on this...
and yes, God does know the outcome, and guess what...we are not to worry...He knows what is best for our salvation (and that might mean suffering such as His Son)

Your posts and comments here stir my heart. We go on about our daily lives with hope and prayer, but in this world of such EGO, GREED, POWER, DECEIT and CALLOUS, one can only wonder what lies before us. Yes, we all must pray that our children and their children have a future. Power in Pray Ann Marie.
