starting right now - stop what you are doing - just for 1 minute
and be thankful
don't talk to yourself.......but talk to God
tell Him how thankful you are.......for your kids - even if they are totally 'bugging you'
for your husband.....be thankful you have one!
for your mom and dad.....if you are kid or if you are an adult
we all have trials.....and sometimes they can just.........well...........be heavy
it's okay
we all have them
but write them down - those thankful 'things' you have in your life
and there is no way on this green earth you need to be thanking Him for that cute chandelier you just got for your dining room
**we will start there and expand on that throughout the week**
xo + thankful blessings,
Refreshing post.....if we just stopped for ONE minute every day and were Thaankful for the blessings....instead of wasting endless hours focusing on the negative. The end comment made me laugh as I just bought a new/old shabby/candlabra to hang over the tub :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for the reminder I needed that today and I have much to be thankful for.. God is so good
ReplyDeleteblessings to you and your family
I'm thankful for my 4 little girls, who come running from the bus after school, and also for my 2 little boys who are on the other side of the front door waiting for their hugs from their sisters. I'm also thankful for the little smudges and smears on the glass at my front door from faces and fingertips that are pressed against the glass in anticipation of the school bus and my son's sisters.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the reminder to write down our blessings. Wishing you a wonderful Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteI always find the start of my day, dawn my moment to give him Thanks. Watching the sun rise, usually lighting a candle. With warm drink in hand and I look out to roof tops that once was a beautiful farmers field. You have that everyday. I miss the rural feel. I raised four children, though not home schooled. Our lives are so busy as young mom's. Your family is beautiful and such a joy to you and Jason I am sure, especially when they are all snug and sleeping. I still have two at home. I thought I would be anxious for my "Empty Nesting" to start, but truth I am thankful for them stilI under roof. I love your beautiful farm and your shares through your blog. Blessings back to you and your family at this time of Thanksgiving Ann Marie.
ReplyDeleteYou are wise beyond your years. I love your blog and marvel at your insights. May the good Lord bless you and your family. In the end we do what we think is best at the time our children are at home, and I am grateful my children survived my child-raising years. (They turned out wonderfully.) A mother's prayer is powerful. I truly believe that the good Lord hears my prayers. May you have a loving Thanksgiving and continue your refreshing outlook on life.
ReplyDeleteCan I be thankful to you, too??!!!
ReplyDeleteJokes apart.... yeah....i need to do that, I feel the urge to do that....
but I am passing through one of those heavy trials you mentioned...and it's getting difficult to be thankful.
I will pray and talk to Her (I usually talk to the Virgin Mary, I feel closer to Her), that's what I will do.
Thank you Anne Marie and many many blessings to you and your wonderful family.
