big families and French bread...

bread is common place...a consumption practically everyday, but there are times, I do not want to bother with pans and all that....just a rolled dough and a natural shape

being that we are a larger family, gloriously large, someone besides myself are always in the kitchen

the workings of school in the background, after coming to me for the "professional" assistance he needed, kept my youngest daughter anticipating my arrival back to her schoolwork after the bread was taken out...such as the days here......a constant ebb and flow

and some surprising shenanigans

though I thought otherwise a long time back, having these children, and keeping busy for them, is the most rewarding thing I have and every will be

it is who I am

their mother......their teacher......their French bread baker.......

 xo+ big family blessings,

  3. Such a beautiful illustration of how life and homeschool are woven together. Making bread and homeschooling are so similar...as one kneads and shapes each loaf to rise to its full potential so us mothers knead love into our children's hearts and humbly attempt to shape their lives as they grow and rise to their potential. Thank you for sharing. :)

  8. Love these sweet posts! Oh my, those are darling photos of your daughter. My mom homeschooled us from middle school age up and I well remember the days of doing school in the kitchen while she multi-tasked and made bread. This fall I'll be starting to school our oldest daughter... and I'm looking forward to doing the same. P.S. Your french bread looks delicious... one of my favorite things to bake!
