my husband's craftsmanship......

Crafted from 1800's barn wood, and years of carpentry, my husband has hand made this table....
it's going to be terribly hard to sell it....rather than use it in my kitchen!!

*****************************************************************
Reclaimed barnwood as a frame, he varnished the rusty tin ceiling tile, which he is making more of, and selling at local businesses........

he pays such attention to detail..........and even though I suggested painting the tin white and then rubbing it off a bit, he said "no......I like the original raw quality of both the wood and the tin"

I have to agree.......now that it is done........

seeing the hand crafted ability of my husband come to life in his art, and committment to preserving the past, is just so fine.........

p.s. he is able to package and ship these items anywhere in the states now - so just let me know if you are interested.......thank you for your awesome comments......

  4. What a wonderful table, Anne Marie, made even more beautiful by the fact that it was hadcrafted by your clever husband. If I lived near you, you would have all of my money !!!! I'd buy everything. One of my favourite things are the tin ceiling tiles. We don't have them here in the U.K. and I love them so much. They are often like the one you have shown, with that wonderful art nouveau pattern. We have art nouveau cast iron fireplaces in practically every room, but I am always looking for those wonderful tin ceiling tiles....beautiful. Tell your husband that there's an Englishwoman who is in awe of his talent and that I loved seeing his work in your post. XXXX
