I am seeing more and more crystal chandeliers just hanging in the stores......
does that mean they are "behind the times".....
or maybe it's just me! at any rate....this chandelier I bought from a garage sale for $20
in the town where we raised our first 2 children, and it was hanging in my "minlaw's" kitchen....

I love it. My grandmother has one in her home. Harder times when my mom and I lived with my grandparents, my bed set under it. Great memories at their home.

ReplyDeleteIt's a beautiful shape! I paint mine with acrylic paints in whites or greys to lighten them a bit. They are a bit fiddly to do ... But that natural used look is lovely too and much less time consuming for a busy mum!

ReplyDeleteThey've been in vogue for many many years ...it's just that they weren't on the magazine covers til a while ago ... it seems once they hit the covers everyone thinks it's a new concept ... I'm SURE you've loved them a long time!
