at least from way out here it is!
I sauteed some leeks from the garden.......added sausage and ground beef (both from local farms) ...a little pizza sauce......some cheese........
try it!
~ find a pizza dough recipe
(let rise for thick crust......for thin, just bake away)
*Anne Marie's tip: don't stick with the normal circle shape.......try it rectangular......it fits on an over sized cookie sheet anyhow!!)
~ pre-bake the crust before adding toppings
~ make your favorite pizza sauce
~ add whatever toppings you like!
~ Bake and YUM!!
Yummy!!
ReplyDeleteHubby has been hinting about some good 'ole homemade pizza so I am taking your post today as a sign!!!
Heading to the Farmer's Market tomorrow for some fresh goodies!
Blessings~
(( my word verification is maters..what my Gramps called his garden tomatoes))
dinner....done! thanks!
ReplyDeleteanne marie - that looks incredible. much better than carry out. i am really hungry now.
ReplyDeleteI have to try this! Funny, I made a post about pizza yesterday. :) This looks delicious.
ReplyDeleteHi Annie Marie~
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun post!
We love to make our own homemade pizzas....sometimes out on the grill during summer!
The pizza dough I make is tasty (it has beer in it). The recipe is in the book that can with my bread machine.
Though the dough I make is tasty,it is hard to make it stay put in the pan. I try to stretch and pull the dough but it keeps shrinking back up! eeekk
Just from your picture I can tell your dough is easy to work with.
Could you email me the recipe you use?
Thanks!
Warmest Blessings,
Georgiann
PS I hope you will post on your Potagar blog:) Come say hi sometime.....we have our garden underway though we have had much rain!
We "heart" homemade pizza also! Lately we've been on a homemade strombolli kick...so easy and so good!
ReplyDeleteThis sounds so delicious Ann Marie - especially those thinly cut leeks sauteed to perfection like that. Shall be in touch about the potager....xv
ReplyDeleteAwww, shoot! I just ate dinner ... well, we make home made pizza all the time but yours actually looks better.
ReplyDeleteHave a beau-TEA-ful week.

That looks so delish....my mom always makes rectangular pizzas, but hers are Chef Boy Ardee :) However, my husband makes the most delicious buffalo chili pizza on the planet!
ReplyDeleteAgreed--homemade pizza is the best kind.
ReplyDeleteI make homemade pizza at least once a week for my family it's nice to see different variations!
ReplyDeletePamela from French Buttons
(I always use a cookie sheet...more pizza for my men!)
Oh Anne Marie,
ReplyDeleteYour pizza would be a zillion times better than any take-away. It looks delicious and, like you say, it's not difficult, tastes better and, in the time you have ordered one and it is delivered you can make your own !! XXXX
Yummy! LOVE your blog!!! I have seen some pics from the barn sale....you are PURE TALENT!!!!

Hey you....have missed your posts, must get over here more often! Your pizza sounds lovely and your right so much better than anything you could order! Have you recovered from your barn sale,I am still thinking about it!! Have a great weekend, talk to you soon! x0x0
ReplyDeleteYou are so right - I wipped one up yesterday in about 20 minutes. It's something I can almost always make in an emergency with a freezer full of sauce, flour in the pantry, cheese, et voila.
ReplyDeleteWe are thin crust with cheese die hards.
We do make our own pizza from time to time, and I let my two girls each shape their own. They have fun, and they get to put on what toppings they like! Thanks for the reminder!
