the table is gone - only the ledge is left
my husband made the ledge out of some of the barn wood from our old barn, and the skulls, well, those are his, by I really do have come to like their artistic and scientific wonder....
the old bottles.........some are from digging dirt up on the property, others found elsewhere, a a few from the antiques shop
and I just lambs ear.......one of my favorite plants to decorate with - even if it's wilting it doesn't turn brown...
did you know you can write on them too? they make great place settings at an informal table setting...
thank you all for your well wishes for my son's eye
he's on strict bed rest for a month
wearing an eye patch
and having to listen to me read him books, and give him tea and cookies, and teach him more guitar chords, and being inundated with pictures from his 6 yr. old sister, and lots and lots of hugs and prayers
thanks for your prayers...they matter the most.
xo+blessings,
I love lambs ears too and wish I had them in my garden. I saw them at Ladew Topiary Gardens near Baltimore in an English cottage style garden and it was pefection! Jennifer
ReplyDeleteLoooks like an apothocary shop! Wow, that is so sad about your son, he will be lifted up in prayer. It's so hard to keep a kid down:(
ReplyDeleteLove all of your vintage bottles, Anne Marie! How lucky to find some of them right on your own property. Your vignette is beautiful! What is that one skull of (with the brown tusks?)?... very interesting.

Hi Anne Marie,
ReplyDeleteOh, eye injuries are so scary! {My son had a severe injury at 2}. I am glad your son is all right, though. Lambs ears are one of my favorites, too:).

Dear Anne Marie, Sending out a big Get Well to your son...You sure do have your hands full, yet have time to create such beautiful things. I have a dome you created with lambs ear that I purchased from your last farm sale. Your crocheting is lovely too. Be well. Love, Penny
