OUR BEES!!
The bees are actually Jason's babies
He's been out in that prairie every day taking care of them - making sure they are busy enough, happy and healthy
they sure are!
This past weekend we extracted honey from two of the hives we have.
The bees have graced us with over a 6lb. bucket of honey the first extraction!!!
They are getting bottled up and ready for the shop.
Organic, from our Prairie:

Hi Anne Marie!
ReplyDeleteThis is such exciting news. What a wonderful addition to the farm. I just saw on the news where beekeeping has seen a surge in popularity on rooftop gardens in the city! Yay, such wonderful news!
Will you be able to offer the honey for sale, if one is not able to attend the October event? I always buy local honey...to help with allergies...but would love some Na.Da. Farm honey!
Sounds like all is well with everyone on the farm...I loved your post about the seminarians on the farm. What a beautiful expression of Christianity! I bet they had a blast.
Can you believe my little man is ONE TODAY?!!! My how time flies.
Blessings, Anne Marie,
Val
How wonderful Anne Marie!... is it available to pre~order and have shipped to me? So happy to pay shipping charges to be able to taste your sweet organic honey!... xoxo Julie Marie
ReplyDeleteThree o'clock sounds wonderful. Thank you for thinking of me and inviting me to do this with you...I've found that if I don't regularly schedule time with HIM, I can get busy and forgetful with the needs of the day.
ReplyDeleteThank you also for the hint/tip about some one on one with Luke! I bet that can be a challenge with 6 gifts...and all the blessings/work required of farming.
You are such a beautiful inspiration. I've been so moved by your more recent posts.
Love,
Val

oh these bees are magical! I think Jason's doing a great job in making them busy, busy and happy and oops, also healthy. See, when you take care of them, they give you back with a heavy 6 lbs of honey. See, it's almost like a baby.

Anne Marie,
ReplyDeleteyour photography is beautiful. I absolutely love the one on 16 Augusts' post. Daisies in the foreground, then shadowed flowers silhouetted against the blue sky and clouds. I just left it on and kept looking at it...thank you for sharing it. I am asking your permission to copy it...may I? It truly captivated me. And thanks for your strong faith, family and love of all that God provides...
